Tiger Woods' Tale of Woe

Driving Erratically and Not with His 3 Wood
According to an article written by Jay Busbee on 11-19-2009, on Devil Ball Golf...a sports blog, Tiger Woods was quoted as saying that "As you all know, I had a single-car accident earlier this week, and sustained some injuries. I have some cuts, bruising and right now, I'm pretty sore. This situation is my fault, and it's obviously embarrassing to my family and me. I’m human and I'm not perfect. I will certainly make sure this doesn't happen again. This is a private matter and I want to keep it that way. Although I understand there is curiosity, the many false, unfounded and malicious rumors that are currently circulating about my family and me are irresponsible.”
The reference in his statement to “false, unfounded and malicious rumors” may have involved a story published last week in the National Enquirer that states that Woods had been seeing a New York nightclub hostess, and they were recently together in Melbourne Australia, where Woods competed in the Australian Masters. The woman, Rachel Uchitel, denied having an affair with Woods when contacted by The Associated Press. Uchitel now has an attorney as well, Gloria Allred.
Tiger Woods and his wife, Elin, had three scheduled meetings with the Florida Highway Patrol, and have canceled all three. Either Woods or his attorney, Mark NeJame, canceled the meetings. Woods was planning to give the police a statement. For now, all that the police have gotten were Woods’ driver’s license, registration and insurance, as required by law for such accidents. This time, the meeting was not rescheduled. Woods lives in Windermere, Florida.
Woods released a statement on his Web site that read, “This is a private matter and I want to keep it that way,” Woods said. “Although I understand there is curiosity, the many false, unfounded and malicious rumors that are currently circulating about my family and me are irresponsible. …“I appreciate all the concern and well wishes that we have received,” the statement concluded. “But, I would also ask for some understanding that my family and I deserve some privacy no matter how intrusive some people can be.”
I am sorry, but my curiosity is now aroused. If there is nothing to hide, why spend all your time making statements that allude that you are hiding something? There are 911 tapes that have been released. Yet even the release of the 911 tape and Woods’ statement failed to answer many questions.
Where was he going at that early morning hour of 2:30am? Why were both rear windows smashed in? How did Tigers’ wife obtain a golf club so readily? Does she keep one at her bedside? If this was just an embarrassing mistake and bad judgment pulling out of his driveway, why not speak with the state troopers to help end this investigation and all the hype surrounding the incident? I am not a perfect driver and have been involved in more than one accident, but I never crashed into a fire hydrant and a tree just pulling out of my driveway. Maybe those gated communities have complex drives that I am not aware exist.
Therefore, we are left to believe that there is no wrong doing here, no credence to the rumors that Woods is having an affair with a New York nightclub hostess, and that Woods is solely responsible for a one-car accident on private property. Yet, Rachel Uchitel, the rumored other woman has a high profile attorney, Woods has a top notch attorney and three attempts by the state troopers to meet with Woods for a simple statement have been rebuked by Woods or his attorney. Something is going to surface and the most famous athlete in the world is staking his reputation that his version will be accepted by the general public.
We are already hearing the obligatory golfing puns, such as…
“Tiger’s driving has always been erratic, hasn’t it?”
We are staring, at best, at the following scenario
1. A married man.
2. Possible multiple mistresses.
3. A possible scorned wife smashing the windows of his car.
Do we just pretend to ignore these plausible events? People are going to believe what they want. As much as we want to know the truth, it’s their life, and they are entitled to their privacy. It is my guess that Tiger will hand over his information, lawyer up and deal with whatever he needs to deal with in his usual private manner. No crime was committed and the window for spin control has passed. The damage has been done to his public profile. We all have to put it behind us and move forward. All I know, is Tiger has joined the list of wealthy and pampered athletes.

Ther's no reason they can't make it. As long as they love each other they can get through it. If the relationship was built on money... then not so much.
We'll see as things go along.

Yes, and I think the 'accident' was just the tip of the ice-berg when it comes to Woods having things to hide. Like maybe keeping at least five mistresses during his five year marriage (oh, and flying them around the world with him). Everything about him is screaming scandal right now!
